Homeschool
We're getting back into the swing of school, a few schedules to still tweek but we're getting things done. The older girls have extra activities to do, but the seem to be keeping up.

Mekalah keeping up with 2nd grade work even at age 6...have no idea how that happened!

I found Chelsey snuggled in my bed reading her history.

Bekah doing Algebra 1 work, getting good grades!

Lindsay doing her Chemistry experiment, notice her painted shirt? She wore it that day to Teen Serve, community work club, and painted a senoir citizen's shed.

Husker doing Biology...well it's more like ...he eats the school books!
Doggie Park
We took Husker to the dog park last week. There were at least 50 dogs out. He fell in love with a Cocker Spaniel, kept chasing her around. And once again, he was the biggest one there, a Saint Benard came close, but he was still taller. We tuckered him out, he slept the rest of the day. All we have to say is "Go bye bye" and he gets so excited!

Lindsay's Sweet 16
Lindsay had an amazing Sweet 16 party. We put together a scavanger hunt at the Old Market for her and her friends. We first took them to Coco Key's water resort then to Spaghetti Works for dinner. They did the scavenger hunt and went to Ted & Wallies Ice Cream, Hollywood Candy, Carriage Ride around the Old Market, boat ride around Heartland Park and then to the bridge. We spent the night at Holiday Inn and had a blast playing games and watched Night of the Musuem 2.

Locks of Love
I've had my hair long for several years. I decided to cut it short and donate my hair to Locks of Love. It's a non-profit organization that makes wigs for children who don't have hair for medical reasons..chemo and other things. The girls love it, it feels great to not have it on my neck when it's so hot. It will take some time to get used to.

Super Soakers
Gramma & Poppa Walsh bought a Wiggling Water Sprinkler and Super Soaker Water Guns for the girls for their end of school year presents. When they first turned on the sprinkler, Husker wouldn't let them play. He kept chasing the water squirts and then trying to catch them. He likes it just as much as the girls. Then the girls set it up so that it would sprinkle them as they swing, great idea!

My Gurlz
I couldn't resist taking pictures of the girls in front of these lilac bushes. They smelled so wonderful too! It reminds me of Grandma Neddo, she has a lilac bush in front of her house that is about 35 years old.

Mekalah Lost Her First Tooth
Kalah lost her very first tooth! It was wiggly for a while since her permanent tooth was coming in. She worked on it for a few days and Daddy finally took it out in one pull. He's so good at that! She got $2 from Daddy Tooth Fairy and Gramma & Papa Walsh also sent some money in the mail. The tooth next to it is wiggly too...here we go!
King Of The Couch
We haven't weighed Husker in a few months, I'm sure that he is probably about 130 pounds. He'll be a year old at the end of the month. He really is a part of the family and whines when no one is sitting on the couch with him. He is always at my or Lindsay's heels, following us every where. He probably has about another 100 lbs to grow.

Sweet Michael
Michael came over a few weeks ago and stayed with us for a night. We had fun watching movies and playing chase. He knows where I stash all my treats, smart little boy! He is so sweet!
I Love Being A Mommy
I have the most wonderful girls! I'm truly blessed to be lucky enough to have them. Lindsay now is officially taller than me and Rebekah and I are at the same height. I can no longer share shoes with either one since they have bigger feet than me. My dog, well he's definately taller than me.
Lindsay's Prom
Who said that you miss out when you're homeschooled? Living here in Omaha, there are so many opportunities to do fun things like have prom. I loved making Lindsay's dress and her evening bag. She got a lot of compliments and everyone raved over her bag. Linds had tons of fun dancing with her friends and made some new ones too. She had to get ready in the tent since we also were camping. She got her hair done, which was a real treat for her. She was one of the only ones to get it done, thanks to Gramma & Papa Walsh for paying for it!

Camping
We had a great time camping! We spent time together with the family, uninterupted...no phone, no computers, no wii, no Nintendo DS's, no laundry....it was nice. I had the chance to read a little bit, Tom relaxed, the girls played at the playground and Lindsay shoot some hoop. The dog even got a chance to play in the dog park and make some friends. We ate a ton of s'mores and sat by the fire chatting. I love camping!

New Do's!!!
Alright, so I had this crazy idea the other day... why not dye my hair? I went a little farther and decided to do highlights as well. Now all I had to do was convince Mom. Well, Mom was really AWESOME and let me and Rebekah do it!!! Yeah, she rocks! We went over to Tara's house (my youth pastor's wife) and she and Mom did it. They did really well!

What's This?
Dying the Eggs!
Smiles from the Neddo girls!
Well, it's been kind of a weird Easter this year. Church starts at 2:00 now, so it took some adjusting, but we had plenty of time to do an easter egg hunt... good thing too, because we had over 100 eggs to find!
As you can see, we had a lot of fun dying Easter eggs last night. Everybody had a favorite, except Bekah... she had four.
Here's Mekalah's favorite egg. Rebekah invented a new technique for dying Easter Eggs. She wrapped tape around it and that part stayed white. It's pretty sweet.

Hostile Takeover
This is Lindsay of the Neddo family and this is a hostile takeover of the blog.. repeat, a hostile takeover! Please surrender your username and password to me and I will assume charge of the Neddo family blog!
Actually, Mom's got a lot on her plate right now and she has given the handling of the blog to me, Lindsay.
Here's a few things we've done in the past few... months.
Well, Dad's wowed another crowd of onlookers with a magic show. He performed for a christian school and had a really fun time. We had a few little kids up on stage who were adorable! One little girl was so nervous, she forgot how old she was!
Mom, me and the girls went to the zoo with little Mikey and Aunt Mary. It was really fun and, as usual, the monkeys were a crack-up! This little guy and his buddy had center stage and kept us laughing! They were a riot.
KayKay has her first wiggly tooth! It's in the front and that baby is ready to come out! We're just waiting to see how long it'll take for it to fall out!
I had another get-together with my friends from toastmasters. This time, it was a game night and we had a lot of fun. We played Pictionary, Apples to Apples, and lots of other fun games. The next one will be a girls-only, and we're goinig to do s'mores and have a sleep-over.

Won't You Sit A While
Happy Birthday Mekalah!!!
Our baby turned 6 years old yesterday, my how time just races on. We had several adventures to make the day special. We first went to McDonalds and got Happy Meals, a real treat for us. Then we went to Sweet Sassy's, which is a mini spa for little girls. They give homeschoolers a half price discount when we go during school hours. They got their nails done, a hair updo, light makeup, pick out a prize, and make their own pixie stick candy. They were just beautiful with tons of glitter all over them! Then we went to a McDonalds Play Place and had an ice cream sundae and they played for a little while. Later that evening we had her birthday dinner of spaghetti and did presents with the web cam on so that Gramma & Poppa Walsh could watch. They gave her the Nintendo DS she had wanted forever, Chelsey was glad to not have to share hers now.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!
I made the girls a special Valentine breakfast this morning. Pink & red heart shaped pancakes and X's & O's too. Breakfast was served on Valentine plates and special Valentine cups with their names them. I love you girls!
SNOW, SNOW, SNOW
Feels like we're back in upstate NY again. We got about a 6" dump on Friday. It's so pretty and we'll have to try and go sledding somewhere. The only bad thing is that the city is really awful about plowing. It's been over 12 hours since the start of the snow and we have not yet seen a plow come through our streets. Back in NY it would have been cleared within a few hours.
TUFFLES
Tom & I have a sweetheart banquet to go to on Saturday night. Our group is not allowed to bring dessert into the restaurant unless it's some type of chocolate candy. So, I volunteered to make truffles for 24 people. I made these using a chocolate transfer sheet...the hearts on the white chocolate. They came out so pretty and the truffle is very rich and smooth...YUM!

Big Brother & Lil' Sister
Enjoy these quotes I found about siblings:
- Brothers don't shake hands...Brothers HUG! (from the Tommy Boy)
- Everyone should have a brother like you, after all, why should I be the only one who has to suffer?!
- How do people make it through life without a sister? (Sara Corpening)
- I smile because you are my sister. I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it!
- In the cookies of life, sisters are the chocolate chips.
- It was nice growing up with someone like you. - someone to lean on, someone to count on...someone to tell on!
- A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost. (Marion C. Garretty)
- More than a forever friend, you are a joy to the heart and love without end.
Dunbars Come For A Visit
Tom's sister, Mary, her husband Jeff and their triplets came for a week so that we could meet the babies. They were so good on the flight...what can you say- they have amazing parents! We all enjoyed each of the unique qualities of each of the babies and also came to realize very quickly how challenging triplet parenting is. Mary & Jeff had a chance to go to the casinos and even won some money above what they originally put in. The girls along with Poppa & Gramma Walsh watched the babies and little Michael one night so that we could go out on a triple date. We went with my sister & brother in-law (Mary & Mike) and of course Mary & Jeff to the bowling alley. We had a great time with Tom bowling the highest score for the night of 180 something. Unfortunately, the babies got sick on Sunday morning-projectile vomiting and the runs. They ended up taking them to the Children's emergency room. Then Jeff & Gramma Walsh got the virus. The babies were okay for the trip home on Tuesday but have since gotten fevers & the boys have double ear infections. Please be in prayer for Mary & Jeff while they get the babies back on a routine and get them feeling better. Love you guys! We're so glad you came & miss you all already. It's too quiet around here now.
Well organized Mommy & Daddy with 2 in the stroller and one in the chest carrier.

Bekah has a natural motherly instinct and could not get enough of the babies. Here she is with little Gabriel

Now check out that smile....so this is what it feels like to hold boys!
Nicholas on the left and Gabe on the right. Nick is always a goin'. He's going to be the one who will have things pulled apart. And Gabe is slo laid back...just relaxing.

Chelsey got her share of helping with the babies too. She liked not having to share right away since there was 3 of them.
Lindsay is my cautious one, hesistant that she doesn't break them. She's playing with one of Laineys pick of toys...it had music.
A favorite of Lainey's special talents...raspberries...so cute.
Mekalah had a chance to hold the babies a little bit too. Here she is with Gramma talking with one of the boys....not sure which one. I would guess Nick.
Here's my transformed living room shortly after they got in. Babies need their equipment!
Sweet Gabriel
Love the expression on Nick..."where's my bottle huh?"

Build A Bear Outfits
Grandma & Poppa Walsh came up from Bossier City, LA for a visit. The last time they were here, they took the girls to Build A Bear Workshop. Mekalah got a pink leopard, Chelsey got a white bear, Bekah got a brown bear and Lindsay picked a grey/white husky dog. So, for a Valentine present Grandma & Poppa picked out new outfits for their animals. The girls loved them.

Pastor Dave's Birthday Cake
Mekalah Sleeping
One night we had some friends over and we stood talking in the foyer for almost 2 hours...you know how you are heading out the door but find more things to talk about? Anyway, we look over and see sweet Mekalah and Husker on the couch. She had fallen asleep with him, his legs are all interwined with hers....So cute!!
Mail Man Terrorizer
Here's some update pictures of my puppy. Husker's 8 months old now and he's definately won our hearts. He's very much a part of the family and has shown his ability to protect us. He will always get between me and the storm door whenever someone comes knocking. He has since scared 2 mailmen to the point that when we have a package, they won't even ring the doorbell. I love this picture of Chelsey and Husker, he's getting soooo big. I don't realize it sometimes until I see another dog. An English Mastiff does not stop growing until they're 3 years old...so that leaves him about 2 years and 4 months left to grow to his full potential....scary!
